Me and my brothers took off on an outdoor adventure. Fishing in Ketchikan, Alaska with Sweetwatercharters and Captain Travis Wilcox. We came across his contact info while we where on a cruiseship. So we called him and from the enthusiasm in his voice, we did not hesitate to book our trip. We went to Ketchikan, Alaska in early July, King season, Captain Trav told us. We where looking for the monster king salmon we have only dreamt about. Just like the good Captain said, we where on the fish as soon as our lines touched the water. Trav told us this was one of his old commercial fishing hook offs and they always caught kings in the net. Well, we didn’t catch the 50 pounder, but we did go home with over 150 pounds of seafood in a 2 day trip. Our biggest king salmon was 36 pounds and needless to say, we are looking forward to this year. Maybe it is the year we get the big one. Thanks Captain Trav, we owe you, big time!
